it doesn’t get any better than this.
Geumgang-Innopolytech (GS Caltex Jinju), Mutual Cooperation Agreement
Geumgang Co., Ltd., which holds the world’s first patent for stainless steel composite spool pipe, and Innopolytech Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of GS Caltex, have joined hands.
Geumgang CEO Bang Man-hyeok and Innopolytech CEO Kim Young-pil held a signing ceremony for a mutual cooperation agreement on the development of composite material parts at Innopolytech Co., Ltd. on the 19th to cooperate in the development of high value-added products through technological exchanges and the formation of regional mutually beneficial relationships between companies.
Jinju Mayor Cho Gyu-il attended the event to congratulate the two companies on the mutually beneficial cooperation agreement and encourage the officials involved.
According to the agreement, Innopolytech will supply polymers and polymer composite materials needed by Geumgang according to the intended purpose, and Geumgang plans to develop and produce flanges, sockets, and joint parts for SPOL pipes and other pipes using the raw materials supplied by Innopolytech.
Geumgang is a promising small and medium-sized enterprise located in Jinju Jeongchon General Industrial Complex that manufactures stainless steel composite pipes and water tanks.
It is the first in the world to develop stainless steel composite spool pipes and holds domestic and international patents. In particular, it is continuously growing based on about 60 intellectual property rights such as patents, design rights, and trademarks through advanced technology development.
Innopolytech, located in Jisu-myeon, Jinju-si, is a promising company with excellent technology in the composite PP field as a 100% subsidiary of GS Caltex and is contributing to job creation for local talent.
CEO Bang Man-hyeok said, “Through the win-win technological cooperation with Innopolytech, a leading composite material company, we will conduct broader development and attempts and use it as an opportunity for Geumgang’s technological leap forward.”
CEO Kim Young-pil said, “It is an honor to collaborate with Geumgang, which is leading the local economy not only in the stainless steel water tank and spool pipe market but also through continuous development and new attempts. I hope that this agreement will be the starting point for a win-win model through collaboration between companies.”
Mayor Cho Gyu-il of Jinju, who played a role in the cooperation between companies, said in his opening remarks, “This is the first mutually beneficial cooperation agreement between a large company and a small and medium-sized company located in the region, so it is very meaningful.” He added, “I hope that this agreement can become a role model for local companies, and that the results can be shared to create a synergy effect for the entire company.”
After the signing ceremony, Mayor Cho Gyu-il and company representatives toured the production building of Innopolytech Co., Ltd. to listen to the composite resin manufacturing process and difficulties, and encourage the workers.
